North Richland Hills firefighter Jeff Peterson is looking forward to helping others again after successful inpatient rehab at Medical City Decatur. Suspicious symptoms prompted tests from a vigilant orthopedic specialist in December, revealing an unrelated brain tumor. After successful brain surgery, Jeff is regaining his strength and mobility thanks to the skilled and compassionate inpatient rehabilitation team at Medical City Decatur. And, our staff even arranged some occupational therapy with Decatur Fire Department. Jeff returned to his important work on April 7, seven weeks after his lifesaving surgery! Colleagues and clinicians across HCA Healthcare work to leverage our size and scale to support clinical research needs and collaborate with industry partners to advance medicine. In 2023, the Research Institute expanded support to 36 sites throughout our network and participated in more than 300 industry-sponsored studies.
